Erickson Living is positioned to grow the number of communities it manages and owns in the next five years.  This growth requires a strong pipeline of talent in critical financial leadership roles. To that end, Erickson Living is currently searching for a highly motivated financial professional who will be hired as an Assistant Finance Director in one of our New Jersey communities located in Pompton Plains, New Providence or Tinton Falls, NJ.  The expectation will be that they are trained and developed into a Finance Director position at another community. This is part of our succession plan to accommodate our rapid growth over these next few years where we will be opening several new communities.     

 

Assistant Director of Finance Job Duties:

 

  • Establish policies and procedures that ensure adequacy of internal controls and effectiveness in providing financial services to the Community.

  • Review monthly financial statements, and related management reporting to effectively highlight critical issues, risks (including business and enterprise risks), trends, and opportunities.

  • Devise and implement procedures to meet the business planning needs and quarterly updates for the Community

  • Perform special business analysis to highlight business/systems issues and recommend solutions to enhance Community performance.

  • Review the final financial statements for management and external reporting.

  • Provide financial and business support to the Executive Director/Director of Operations and the Community Management Team.

  • Assist in identification and resolution of business and enterprise risks.

  • Establish policies and procedures for financial operations.

     


  • Education and Experience

    • BS/BA in Accounting/Finance required.
    • CPA/MBA a plus.
    • Minimum of 7 years in related/similar industry
    • 5+ years in a management/supervisory role.
    • Flexibility to relocate to other Erickson managed or owned properties at some point in their career.
