The Certified Medical Assistant is a full-time  opportunity within our Internal Medicine practice at Highland Springs. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.

The successful candidate will provide clinical support to medical/specialty providers and front and back office support to the Medical Center Team. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following and other duties maybe assigned:
• Performs clinical duties as directed or assigned by clinical leadership or practice management, e.g., patient history; vital signs; EKG’s; phlebotomy (blood draws), and injections.
• Perform various duties from front desk, rooming patients, back office, labs, and assist the team where needed.
• Maintains stocking of treatment rooms and ensures cleanliness.
• Maintains lab facilities to ensure compliance with all necessary EHMG policies and procedures, and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications:
The individual must be able to perform each essential function consistently and with minimal supervision by utilizing the learned skills. The following skills are representative of the knowledge and/or ability(s) required: vital signs; phlebotomy; EKG’s; injections. Must also possess excellent verbal and written communications skills and be proficient with the use of computers.

Education and/or Experience:
• High School graduate/GED.
• Graduate from an accredited/certified Medical Assistant Program to include Phlebotomy and CPR certificates.
• Must have a national medical assistant certification, and timely re-certification in accordance with the provisions of the certifying Board are also required.
• 1 or more years of medical clinical skills preferred.
