We are currently looking for Director of Human Resources to join our dynamic group of senior leaders at Tall Grass Creek, one of our growing continuing care retirement communities located in Overland Park, Kansas.


The Human Resources Director provides focused human resources consulting in the areas of workforce planning, organizational development, leadership development, performance management, employee relations, succession planning, and talent management. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing support to community leaders and employees.


Human Resources Director Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead corporate initiatives, assess issues and generate solutions, manage the delegation of work, and manage in a shared services environment.

  • Effectively coach leadership in matters relating to people, including compensation recommendations, HR processes, employment practices, HR programs and corresponding impact on the business. 

  •  Enhance and build the capability of the business by incorporating the people component into strategic planning, development and assessment.

  • Effectively coach leadership in matters relating to people, HR processes, employment practices, HR programs and help drive high performance teams.

  • Facilitate the recruiting process to ensure candidates have a positive interview experience and HR partners with hiring manager to make sure the best candidates are selected for all positions.

  • Ensure EEOC, FMLA, ADA and OSHA compliance.

  • A minimum of 7 years of management in Human Resources is required.

  • 5-10 years of progressive Human Capital and/or Management Consulting, HR or Organizational Development Experience Including:

    • Leadership Development

    • Performance Management

    • HR Generalist Support

    • Change Management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

    PHR/SPHR or equivalent certification a plus.
