ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides total nursing care to patients under the direction of a physician.
Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
Administers or orders diagnostic test, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviation from normal.
Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
Develops and implements management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
Requires a bachelor's degree with 2 - 4 years of clinical experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Masters degree ideal /experience with Geriatric community also a plus
