Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts Pre-Residency Meetings for potential independent living residents.

  • Assists residents in developing activities within the community as well as outside the community while encouraging self-sufficiency among residents.

  • Collaborates with all pertinent departments to coordinate room usage for activities/events.

  • Performs, maintains and distributes monthly electronic and paper-based calendars;  to include mastering and maintaining through Event Management System (EMS);  provides activities and events listing to residents and relevant departments with descriptive information on events, clubs, and activities in the community.

  • Monitors bulletin boards, display cases, and Community Resources spaces.

  • Assists with “Community Resources Handbook”, engages with new programs;  i.e. My Erickson App, Welcome Home program.

  • Acts as liaison between the community and any colleges or educational networks which may provide course opportunities or offerings within the community.

  • Maintains community event information in the MyEvents system.
  • Adhere to the established Philanthropy policies, systems, and procedures.

  • Support the planning and coordination of fund raising drives for special projects as appropriate to achieve strategic goals for the community.  This effort may include coordinating the venue, room setup, refreshments, contacting participants, reconfirming attendance, preparing materials and/or designing invitations.

  • Manage and process all gifts, including receiving, depositing, tracking and acknowledging letters.

  • Responsible for timely input into the development software and preparing regular monthly reports and contributes to the community annual philanthropy report.

  • Attends monthly department meetings and other meetings as appropriate.

  • Willingness to grow as we grow in execution of new projects, programs, initiatives that serve our residents in helping residents live better lives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently, implement plans, and has excellent problem solving skills.

  • Excellent computer skills required.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and experienced in Publisher.

  • Must be able to read, write, understand and community in the English language.


Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • Three years of working in a senior setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of geriatric population and dementia preferred.
